Cheerleading

Cheerleading is available to 7th or 8th grade students wishing to participate.

Tryout Judging Criteria

Entrance- spirit & appearance

Sideline chant- knowledge, arm motions, coordination, & timing

Cheer- knowledge, arm motions, coordination, & timing

Jumps- difficulty, height, execution, & landing

Tumbling- difficulty & execution

Overall impression- poise, voice, eye contact, pep, & enthusiasm

Expectations for cheerleaders:

• LMS Cheerleaders represent LMS in a positive way at school and in our community.

• LMS Cheerleaders must maintain a 2.0 in order to be eligible.

• Academics come first! Coaches will monitor grades throughout the year, and if you are receiving an “F,” you will not be allowed to participate until the grade improves.

• Cheerleaders must attend all required practices and games.

• Have FUN!
